As winter approaches, our scientists will begin to observe winter seasonal changes.  Pre-K scientists will be studying ocean animals.  Kindergarten scientists will continue animal studies and will focus on animal adaptations to the winter environment.  1st grade students will begin learning about the properties of matter.  Grade 2 students are learning about the properties of liquids through experimentation.  Grade 3 scientists are starting a unit on physical science and will be studying magnetism.  Grade 4 scientists are finishing up animal adaptations. They are beginning to work on test review packets for homework in preparation for the Citywide Science Test.  Grade 5 chemists are working on saturated solutions and chemical reactions.  They will be conducting “mock” interviews of famous scientists and inventors.

I would like to wish you and your family a joyous holiday season!  Have a wonderful holiday break!
